The problem

Most platforms sit between you and everyone you pay

It is common for a restaurant platform to become your payment processor, your messaging provider and your delivery broker at once — taking a margin on each and holding the relationship. It looks convenient until you want to change one of them, or until a rate moves, or until your funds are held while somebody reviews something.

  • Your takings pass through somebody else's account before reaching yours.
  • Rates are set by an intermediary you did not choose.
  • Leaving means rebuilding your payment, messaging and delivery setup at once.
  • A problem with the platform becomes a problem with getting paid.

Bring your own accounts, throughout

Every external service OwnTable talks to is connected with your credentials. You keep the account, the rate and the relationship — and the money moves between your gateway and your bank without passing through us.

We are never the merchant of record

Card payments settle from your own gateway into your own bank on your gateway's normal schedule.

Credentials stored properly

Keys are encrypted at rest and readable only by the server process that needs them. No other tenant can ever reach them.

Disconnect without leaving

Switching gateway or courier is a settings change. Nothing about your menu, orders or customer list depends on which one you use.

Connect the gateway you already use, or the one that works in your country. Apple Pay is offered through your gateway's own secure page — the in-page wallet sheet needs a merchant identity Apple issues per business, which we cannot issue for you.

  • Stripe and PayPal have been proven end to end with real money. The regional gateways — Tap, Moyasar, JazzCash, Easypaisa, Safepay, Bank Alfalah, Worldpay and Square — are built and ready but need one small live charge against your own merchant account to verify, which we will do with you during setup. We would rather tell you that than let you discover it at go-live.
